   a. What is happening to all of the portables?

   b. How does the sinkhole affect Paul's life? What might the sinkhole symbolize?

   c. How do you think Paul feels when Gino tells him that the rules for soccer eligibility have been bent for other people in the past?

   d. Why does Paul say that the heavens opened up for him?

    a. Create a Venn Diagram which displays the similarities and differences between the students who attend Lake Windsor and the students who attend Tangerine Middle. 

    b. Discuss the questions that each group member had from the reading

    a. How do you think Joey should have handled Victor when he was giving him a hard time? How should Paul have acted? How would you have handled the situation? 
    b. What evidence from the text gives the readers as well as Joey the impression that Tino is bad news?
    c. What could all of the neighborhood problems symbolize?

    c. What does Paul mean and what is he referring to when he says that they are all becoming big fish in a little pond?

    d. What does Paul mean when he says that the homes in Lake Windsor are as phony as the Erik Fisher Football Hero Smile?

    c. What does Paul mean when he says that he cannot remember why he feels so weird, at least "not yet"?

     Within your groups, outline the attack on Luis including those who were involved and their words/actions that contributed to the attack.

      d. What really happened to Paul's eyes? Who was responsible for the damage to Paul's eyes? Did you find the damage to Paul's eyes or the person who was responsible for the damage surprising?

     a. What has the Sports Commission done in regards to the Lake Windsor Football record? Do you agree or disagree with their decision? Why or why not?

     c. Why do you think Paul chose to tell the police the information that he did?

     d. What happened to Tino, Victor, and Paul? Do you think they were given a fair punishment? Why or why not?
